Project Overview

The Development Directive facilitated a development approval, in close collaboration with Aliro Group, for a largescale Warehouse in Wacol’s Metroplex Westgate Estate.

The warehouse comprises of 8,483sqm GFA with ancillary operations including a two-storey office component for administration purposes, a loading dock office, 3 recessed loading docks and 4 on-grade loading docks suitable for articulated vehicles.

The development approval allows for a peak building height of 14.6m, a reduced car parking rate, a reduced landscape buffer to Ipswich motorway, and 24-hour, 7-day a week operation. It is anticipated the future operator of the warehouse will be involved in logistics.

The development reflects high quality architectural and landscape design outcomes and was designed having regard to the overall Estate Masterplan. This site is elevated and visible from the adjoining Ipswich Motorway, providing a high level of exposure for the future operator. The development approval was secured in just over 4 months.
