Southern Downs Regional Council - Industrial Land Strategy
Client — Southern Downs Regional Council
Area of Expertise — Town Planning
Location — Southern Downs Regional Council LGA
Project Description
This project saw Development Directive take a supporting role to Think Economics in the review and recommendations to augment SDRC’s industrial planning policy. The review coupled traditional spatial land use planning with spatial and strategic business planning. This was in order to provide Council with a tool that factors in both land use constraints and market appropriateness for the future zoning of industrial lands.
The town planning investigations contemplated the effects of industrial development, as well as the method of delivery. The resultant report sought to guide the SDRC in preparing and implementing a modern planning scheme and development strategy which enhances the local industrial economy
