Project Description
The Development Directive assisted our client in navigating the, at times complex, approval process for alterations to an existing pre-war dwelling Queenslander in Auchenflower, Brisbane. The site is identified within the both the Traditional Building Character Overlay and the Flood Hazard Overlay such that the proposed design was required to overcome a number of requirements under the Brisbane City Plan 2014.
Despite these significant constraints, the Development Directive successfully obtained an approval with a three (3) storey component.
The Development Directive successfully negotiated an approval with Council, in just 6 months, with an undercroft design incorporated for flood conveyance.
